TCM x HX Giveaway – Terms
Promoter: The promoter of this competition is The Cruise Group (“TCG”), trading as The Cruise Maps.
These terms apply to competitions hosted by The Cruise Maps, a brand operated by The Cruise Group, across Instagram or any other social media or marketing platform where the competition is promoted.
1. Eligibility
1.1 The competition is open to individuals aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.
1.2 Employees of The Cruise Group, HX Expeditions (HX), their affiliates, partners, agents, or anyone professionally connected with the competition are not eligible to enter.
1.3 The competition is open internationally and is not restricted by location, unless otherwise stated within the specific competition announcement.
1.4 By entering this competition, participants confirm they meet the eligibility requirements.
2. Entry Requirements
2.1 Entry mechanics will be clearly outlined in the competition post on Instagram or any other social media or marketing platform where the competition is shared.
2.2 Only entries submitted in accordance with the instructions provided in the competition post will be considered valid.
2.3 Entries that are incomplete, fraudulent, automated, or violate the platform’s guidelines may be disqualified.
2.4 No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.
2.5 The Cruise Group accepts no responsibility for entries not received due to technical issues, platform failures, or circumstances outside its control.
3. Competition Period
3.1 The opening and closing dates for the competition will be clearly stated in the competition post on Instagram or any other social media or marketing platform where the competition is shared.
3.2 Entries received after the closing date will not be counted.
4. Winner Selection
4.1 The winner will be selected at random from all qualifying entries.
4.2 The winner will be selected within seven (7) business days of the competition closing date.
4.3 The winner will be contacted via direct message or the most appropriate communication channel available on the platform used for entry.
4.4 If the winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 14 days, The Cruise Group reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
5. Prize
5.1 The prize will be described in the competition post.
5.2 The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or alternative prizes, unless otherwise stated.
5.3 The Cruise Group reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond its control require doing so.
5.4 Any additional costs associated with claiming or using the prize (including but not limited to travel, taxes, customs duties, or shipping costs where applicable) are the responsibility of the winner unless explicitly stated otherwise.
5.5 The Cruise Group reserves the right to restrict prize fulfilment to locations where delivery is reasonably feasible.
6. Publicity
6.1 By entering the competition, participants agree that, if selected as the winner, their name and/or social media handle may be used by The Cruise Group for promotional purposes relating to the competition.
6.2 The winner’s name may be made available upon request following the closing of the competition.
7. Content & Social Media Usage
7.1 If a winner shares photographs, videos, or other content featuring the prize, The Cruise Group may request permission to repost or share this content for marketing or promotional purposes.
7.2 Any such content will only be shared with the consent of the original creator.
8. Partner or Co-Hosted Giveaways
8.1 From time to time, competitions may be co-hosted with partner brands, influencers, or organisations.
8.2 Where a giveaway is run in partnership with another organisation, the competition post will clearly identify the co-hosting partner(s).
8.3 Unless otherwise stated, The Cruise Group (trading as The Cruise Maps) remains the primary promoter responsible for administering the competition and selecting the winner.
8.4 Partners involved in the promotion may assist in marketing, prize provision, or winner fulfilment.
8.5 Any additional partner-specific conditions will be clearly stated within the competition post.
9. Liability
9.1 The Cruise Group accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to technical failures or issues beyond its control.
9.2 The Cruise Group reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the competition if circumstances arise outside its reasonable control.
9.3 The Cruise Group is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from acceptance or use of the prize, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
10. Platform Disclaimer
10.1 Competitions promoted via social media platforms are in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or any other platform used to promote the competition.
10.2 By entering the competition, participants confirm they release the platform from any responsibility related to the competition.
11. Data Protection
11.1 Personal data provided during the competition will be used solely for the administration of the competition and prize fulfilment.
11.2 Personal information will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
11.3 Personal data will not be shared with third parties except where necessary to deliver the prize.
12. General
12.1 The decision of The Cruise Group regarding any aspect of the competition is final and binding.
12.2 The Cruise Group reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these terms or attempts to manipulate the competition.
12.3 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
