Celebrate their most memorable cruise
Create a beautiful customised print map of their cruise. Each map is made to order using AIS (satellite ship-tracking) data to show where they actually went, rather than just the itinerary route. Just tell us the name of their ship, along with start and end points and we'll do the rest.

Too many cruises to choose from?
The Cruise Album was specifically created for customers who love our maps but simply do not have enough wall space to showcase all of their amazing cruises. The album is designed to display 25 'Album Size' (A4) cruise maps (sold separately) in archival-quality sleeves.

Loyal to a specific cruise line?
Explore our range of partnership products, including branded map styles created in collaboration with cruise lines, and limited edition maps of historic voyages for the avid collector.

Unsure of the details, or which cruise to pick?
Our range of gift cards allow you to give the gift of choice! The amounts are for specific products but they'll have complete flexibility to use that amount for any product in our range.
Our gift cards are delivered digitally and you can then write in a personal note, making this the perfect last-minute gift option!
FAQs
How do you know the exact route that was taken on a cruise?
Cruises after January 2015: We use satellite ship-tracking data to show exactly where your cruise actually went, not just where you were supposed to go! This data will include any diversions from your initial itinerary. We also use the time-stamps to work out your port-calls. When we can see your ship stopped for a significant period of time in a port, we mark a stop on your map.
Cruises before January 2015: We build your map to show a presumed route, based on the average of all other AIS satellite tracking data from more recent cruises in our huge database. When you order a map for a pre-2015 cruise, we will email you to ask for a list of the ports that you visited (or if you’ve already added the ports to your cruise in The Cruise Globe, we’ll just need the email address connected to your Globe account). We then use more recent cruise data to reconstruct your cruise route based on how ships actually sail, not just a guess.
How far back does your data go? Can I order a map for a cruise that I went on years ago?
The AIS dataset we use to map the exact route of your cruise starts in January 2015. You can still order a map for a cruise which took place before 2015. We will ask you for a list of the ports you visited (once you’ve placed your order) and we will reconstruct an accurateestimatedroute of your cruise based on our huge satellite dataset from more recent cruises.
Are ports of call and place names shown on the maps?
As standard, we include a written port label for every port that you stopped at on your cruise. This is very specifically only actual cruise ports, rather than every inlet, bay or cove that the ship may have visited.
General place names (outside of your cruise route) aren't shown on the map because we felt it would clutter the design too much and make it less attractive on your wall!
Please note that you also have the option to opt out of port labels when you order.
Can I see a preview of my map?
Every single map that is ordered undergoes a manual check of the AIS satellite ship-tracking data to confirm and resolve any imperfections in the vast dataset.
If we've already got your cruise in our system (for example it has been added to The Cruise Globe) then we will show you a low-resolution preview so you can see and check your route before purchasing.
If you're the first person to map this cruise with us (and we therefore don't already have the cruise in our system) you can request a digital proof of your map once you’ve ordered, by replying to your order confirmation email. Once you confirm you’re happy with your map(s), we will print and send them to you.
We offer a 100% accuracy guarantee on all of our maps. In the very unlikely event of an error, we will issue a corrected reprint at our expense, or provide a full refund.
You can also preview the exact routes of your entire cruise history on our digital platform - www.thecruiseglobe.com.
What information do you need from me to make my map?
If you’re ordering a map for a cruise which took place since the start of 2015, we will use the actual AIS satellite tracking data to map the exact route taken by your ship. We can work out where you stopped based on the time stamps in the data so we only need your ship name, where you started and ended your cruise, and the start and end dates.
If you’re ordering a map for a cruise which took place before 2015, the AIS data doesn’t go back further than this so we will also need you to send us a list of the ports you visited on your cruise. (We will send you an email once you’ve placed your order to request this. If you’ve already added this cruise, and the ports you visited, to The Cruise Globe, we will only need the email address linked to your Globe account instead.) This allows us to the most accurate possible estimation of your exact route.

What type of paper do you use for the maps?
We use FSC-certified 200gsm museum quality paper. This gives an ultra-durable matte finish to the map.
What frames do you use for the prints?
All of our wooden frames are made from sustainably-sourced pine with a natural black finish, and durable clear plexiglass covering the map.
Can I customise my map?
Absolutely. Your map will be unique to the exact route that you took. You can also add a personalised message or title on the map.
Can you mark special occasions precisely onto the map?
Yes! We often get requests from customers who have got engaged, renewed their wedding vows or had a special birthday on a cruise. If you let us know the event and the location by email (hello@thecruisemaps.com) when you book your order, we'll include it in your map.
Can I order a map for a future cruise?
Yes! All of our maps are made using AIS satellite tracking data - they show where the cruiseactuallywent - so they can only be created after the cruise. However, we can take pre-orders for your upcoming cruise, which will then be created and delivered to you after you disembark.
Where do you ship to?
Everywhere! We ship globally, for free.
How much does it cost for shipping?
Shipping is completely free of charge, globally.
How long will my order take to arrive?
As with any fully bespoke product, we make each map individually to order. We take special care to ensure the accuracy and quality of your map. We aim to create maps within 3 business days from when you place your order. (This does not include pre-ordered maps which will be made in the 3 business days following your disembarkation.) It then takes a further 3 business days for your map to be printed (and framed), and undergo final quality assurance checks in one of our expert facilities before being dispatched.
Shipping times vary significantly based on your location. In the UK/Europe/North America, it can be as quick as 3 business days. You will receive a shipment confirmation email as soon as your map is dispatched, with a tracking link where you will be able to find more information about your delivery.
Do you offer returns or refunds?
Unfortunately, given that our prints are so highly customised for each customer, we do not offer returns. In the rare event that you have issues with the quality of your print or if there are any mistakes in the route, please send us an email (hello@thecruisemaps.com) and we’ll make sure to make things right.
